Abisko.net

Abisko Fjällturer or Abisko.net (which is easier to say) was started in 1999 by two brothers who were both born and raised in Abisko. It offers comfortable hostel accommodation across two large buildings lying next to each other in the village of Abisko (Abisko Östra). It provides everything that a backpacker could need including fantastic husky sled tours and was described by Lonely Planet as a “backpacker’s delight”!

Winterday Hostel

The Winterday hostel offers 6-bed dorm rooms and 2-bed rooms with a shared kitchen and bathrooms. All rooms feature bunk beds and fantastic views into the mountains or across the lake. The sauna is located just beside the hostel. See our transfers page for transfers to and from this hotel.

Hostel Haverskog

The 2- and 4-bed rooms in Hostel Haverskog are bigger and all have private toilet facilities, with showers located in the same building along with the shared kitchen. The Sauna is located a short walk away. You will also find the reception in Hostel Haverskog.

Amenities

All kitchens in both hostels are fully equipped and are a great place to cook dinner and share stories of the day’s adventure with the other guests. In the evenings you can enjoy a warm sauna or update your friends about the fun you are having using the free wifi. When out on activities during the winter you will also be provided with winter clothing to make sure your stay warm. Just a short walk away you will find Abisko’s grocery store conveniently located in the center of the village.
